Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Who we are and what this is

TrasChat is a product operated by Felix Cabrita (“we,” “TrasChat”). It's a browser extension that translates conversations inside WhatsApp Web in real time.

TrasChat is not an official WhatsApp product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc. “WhatsApp” is a registered trademark of WhatsApp Inc./Meta. We mention it solely to describe which service our extension is compatible with (nominative use), not to indicate any partnership.

By installing the extension, creating an account, or purchasing credits, you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the product.

2. What TrasChat does

• Live translation of messages in a WhatsApp Web chat, in a side panel.
• “Translate and paste” feature to reply in your own language and have it pasted translated into the chat.
• Voice-note transcription in your own browser (audio is never uploaded to any server).
• Support for 11 languages.

TrasChat runs on a prepaid credit system (1 credit ≈ 100 translation tokens). Each text translation consumes credits from your account; pricing details are in the app's Plans section.

3. Accounts

• You need to create an account to use the product beyond whatever the free tier allows, if any.
• You're responsible for activity that occurs on your account and for keeping your password/access secure.
• Sharing a paid account among multiple people to get around the credit model, or creating duplicate accounts to abuse free credits or promotions, is not allowed.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, including fraudulent use, abuse of the credit system, or activity that compromises the service's security.

4. Plans, credits, and pricing

• Memberships are recurring monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel.
• Plan credits roll over from one month to the next, capped at 2x what your monthly plan grants. One-time top-ups aren't subject to that cap.
• Prices can change. If they do, we'll notify you before it affects your next renewal — we never raise the price on an active subscription without notice.
• Payments are processed through PayPal. We don't store your card or PayPal account details — PayPal handles that directly.

5. Cancelling your membership

• You can cancel your membership at any time from the dashboard.
• When you cancel, your access and plan credits stay active until the end of the period you already paid for. You won't be charged again after that.
• Cancelling doesn't erase credits already accumulated in your account; they simply stop renewing automatically.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use TrasChat for:

• Illegal activity, harassment, mass spam, or impersonation.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, extract, or resell access to the extension or the API behind it.
• Automating mass credit consumption with bots to exploit the translation system for purposes other than your own personal or business use within WhatsApp.
• Interfering with the service's operation or attempting to breach its security.

We reserve the right to suspend service for any account that breaches this, without refunding unused credits in cases of proven fraud or abuse.

7. Privacy and your message data

• Your message text is sent temporarily to our AI translation provider solely to translate it. It isn't stored as plain text on our servers beyond the record of credits consumed.
• Voice notes are transcribed locally in your browser — audio never leaves your computer.

8. Intellectual property

TrasChat's code, design, branding, and content belong to us or are licensed to us. Using the software doesn't grant you any ownership rights over it — only a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use it while you comply with these Terms.

9. Service availability

We do our best to keep TrasChat running reliably, but:

• WhatsApp Web can change its internal structure at any time without notice, which can temporarily break message extraction until we update the extension.
• We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or 100% accurate translation — it's an automated translation tool, not a certified human translator.

10. Limitation of liability

TrasChat is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages or loss of data or business arising from the use or inability to use the service, including translation errors that may affect a conversation that matters to you.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If the change is significant, we'll notify you by email or within the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use TrasChat after that means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Any dispute will be resolved before the courts of Caracas, Venezuela.
